Our curriculum is interest based with an emphasis on making real world connections. We use the curriculum learning beyond paper with a bit of our creativity.
We expose children to stimulating and thought-provoking activities and environments for them to explore with confidence. We structure our activities to help our children reach their developmental milestones. We are in compliance with best practices for 0-5 therefore we include a vast amount of talking, reading and singing with our children daily.Toddlers are prepared for preschool through much practice in social emotional development. We focus on kindness, sharing, patience and caring for others. Their day includes group-time with songs about our daily topics, days of the week and who came to school. This helps them make real word connections, practice sitting patiently as well as it provides cognitive stimulation. Preschoolers work in various learning centers that expose them to language, phonics, math, natural science, and bible studies. Teacher directed activities, and student led activities are both offered on a daily basis. All students participate in daily outdoor recreation time (weather permitting). Staff monitor weather and air quality in order to determine outdoor activities. Our facility is separated into two playgrounds. One playground serves the developmental abilities of toddlers while the other serves the developmental ability of preschoolers. We have shaded areas for hot day and indulge in water play and use water tables often. Children engage with the natural environment during this time as well as make use of the various toys, climbing structures, slides and bikes.

At Little Ones Academy we provide all of our children with a developmentally appropriate program that emphasizes the importance of the whole child. Physical, cognitive, and social-emotional needs are all met within our program. We offer a fun, safe and nurturing environment where we are dedicated to supporting our students to learn, play and grow. Our goal is to provide excellence within our programs while prioritizing safety, happiness and child wellbeing. Little Ones Academy nurtures all children and understands that development is on a continuum. We meet the child where they are at and nurture them further to prepare them for real life experiences. All learning styles and abilities are welcome and supported.
Our center will provide breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack. Milk or juice is served with all the meals and snacks, and water is offered throughout the day. The meals and snacks for each week constantly vary to ensure the children receive a well-balanced diet.
The children are offered the food, but they will not be forced to eat. It is our goal to offer nutritious meals and snacks to the children in our care, as nutrition is a vital part of a child’s health. Children should not bring food except in case of allergies or special diets prescribed by a physician. A doctor’s note is required for all food brought from home including special milk and snacks. Food allergies can be life-threatening and each child with a food allergy should have an action plan for emergency care completed by the family physician.Monthly menus are posted on the bulletin board and are available at the beginning of every month. All food products are purchased weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. The perishable products are bought fresh weekly. Our mealtimes are as followed:
